We're proud to say that our Managing Director, Mark Robinson, has been very busy recently raising money for The Prince's Trust. He recently joined the other Vantage Toyota directors on an epic mission to complete the Yorkshire three peaks.
The Prince's Trust is a youth charity that helps young people aged 13 to 30 get into jobs, education and training. This support can really make a difference to young people who may have had a tough start in life, helping them turn their lives around and support their self-development. Vantage Toyota are proud patrons of this charity and have set big goals for their fundraising efforts this year. The team here at Toyota Solihull are very proud of Mark for putting himself forward for this massive challenge.
The team took on the 24-miles long route which includes 1,585m of ascent. The challenge is set right in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, in the Ribble Valley. Mark set off for the Yorkshire Dales early on to be ready for the 6:30 am start time. The team of seven started off bright and early with some dubious looks towards the looming clouds.
Thankfully although there were patches of rain throughout the day the weather was largely very good for September. The team soldiered on with short breaks for food and drinks but not much else. The majority of our team managed to finish the epic challenge and thankfully there was no major injuries on the course. It was an incredibly long day for all involved but I think everyone would agree a worthwhile one.
The teams hard work really paid off. The total raised so far is sitting at £8,823 and growing. We think that we can still reach the ambitious target of £10,000. If you wish to donate you can do that by following the link below:
